The Chapel Project
Capel Tabernacl is the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel behind Gwynfryn B&B. Original built in the early 19th century with the entrance onto Chapel Street. In 1873 the Chapel was completely modified to as it is today. This included the grand entrance via York Place, the building of the attached Vestry and of Gwynfryn (being built as the home for the superintendent preacher). The Tabernacl Chapel in Conwy is in superb condition and is a truly outstanding example of one of the thousands of chapels built.
Upon closing in August 2011 and after a long drawn out process, we were successful in buying the Chapel in November 2012. We have now have planning permission and to transform the chapel as follows;
The Vestry into a 2 bedroom holiday-let.
Add 4 large double en-suite B&B bedrooms in the chapel loft.
Create a stunning multi-purpose venue in the Chapel hall.
The Chapel will be a fantastic venue for many uses including medevial banquets, weddings, art classes, choir concerts & conferences.
